I was just digging around on-line and found some interesting stuff. Of course, this is not a for sure thing since we all know not to believe everything we see on-line. But......this one site was saying how that King Saul and King David could be the historical Amenhotep I and Tuthmosis I, all the timing and such line up, anyway, if this is true, these two ancient kings actually ended up co-ruling for a time according to some drawings and statues, that the people preferred Tuthmosis (David) but that Amenhotep was still the king. Wow, talk about jealousy, that would fuel it.
Also, I was wondering how Jonathan turned out so good, well, his mom Achinaom was the daughter of Achimaas who was a follower of Samuels thoughts on the King of Isreal being God, not needing a man king. Apparently Achimaas was a good guy, a Godly man, and he probably taught his daughter well, so she taught Jonathan. This is also speculation since it is not told in scripture, but it does make sense.
Just something to ponder......
