Special Olympics

Malinda and I volunteered for Special Olympics on Friday, May 30th
Malinda cheering on the athletes while they are waiting for their medals
MO Highway Patrol giving the athletes their medals
One of my favorite athletes that day, Tyson from Cameron! He was a gem...
WE had a blast volunteering and plan on doing it more next year. The Athletes aged from like 7 years to 70 years were so very excited about their placements and their wins. But were also very compassionate for those athletes who might have stumbled along the way, helping them up, not worrying about winning BUT how their friends were! WE all should take a lesson from these unique wonderful people!

Good for you guys! That looked awesome! I may join you guys next year. I used to want to work with special needs people. If I was to have a career outside home, that is what it would be. God bless you two for doing that!

I have worked with the special people for a few years when I was in my 30's and absolutely loved it. It is very rewarding and makes you put things into prespective in your own life. I have learned alot from these awesome people and have many memories of them and the great time I spent with them. AND lots of photos too!
