Special Olympics

Malinda and I volunteered for Special Olympics on Friday, May 30th
Malinda cheering on the athletes while they are waiting for their medals
MO Highway Patrol giving the athletes their medals
One of my favorite athletes that day, Tyson from Cameron! He was a gem...
WE had a blast volunteering and plan on doing it more next year. The Athletes aged from like 7 years to 70 years were so very excited about their placements and their wins. But were also very compassionate for those athletes who might have stumbled along the way, helping them up, not worrying about winning BUT how their friends were! WE all should take a lesson from these unique wonderful people!

Just Think....

Just think, you’re here not by chance, but by God’s choosing.
His hand formed you and made you the person you are.
He compares you to no one else— you are one of a kind.
You lack nothing that His grace can’t give you.
He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation.

God loves you...

He chose you to be His own. I THESSALONIANS 1:4 NLT

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalms 30:5

This verse was sent to me in my daily devotional today and it fit so well for me. Last night I watched a movie with Heather about Love, being alone and how to deal with that. Well, it hit home and OKAY I shed a few tears after going to bed because of being alone. I am REALLY okay with it at this point, but the movie really made me think about it. And then I get this verse about weeping in the night and rejoicing in the morning. It is so true. I was just fine this a.m. and happy where I am in life. GOD is so good!

Prayer Request

My sister, Gina went to the doctor yesterday to get her back adjusted and when listening to her heart, he asked her if anyone had told her that she has a heart murmur? Well, he is the only doctor she has gone to the last few times and NO no one had ever told her that. He stated that sometimes they can just appear. Heart murmur's are rated from a 1-6 in severity 6 being the worst and he stated he would rate hers as a "3". So he is making her an appt. for an echo cardiogram to see what is going on with her. So please keep her in your prayers~ Their family has been hit with alot of illness lately, Rachel with Mono, Derrick with emergency Appendicitis Surgery and then this.... so keep them all in your prayers.
