Alzheimer's Memory Walk

Miss Shirley and Me
Great Grandma Vote and the girls (Constance and Ivy)
Heather and Constance before the walk!
Today some of my friends and family all walked in the Alzheimer's Memory Walk in Springfield @ Phelps Grove Park. It was a 1 or 3 mile walk and we all raised money to go towards finding a cure for Alzheimers.
We had fun, even though we all felt alittle sore and tired after the walk was over!

Introducing Mr. Brady...

This little guy is my second cousin, Brady. He lives in the Kansas City area and has started a team called; "Brady's Bunch" to walk in the 13th Annual Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome.
Brady was born with Down Syndrome April of 2007. He is such a happy and sweet boy. If you would like to help out Brady with his quest to raise money please click on the link below and then donate. I am not able to walk with them this year, but have decided to help raise funds to help out this little guy and all the other people afflicted with Downs.
How can you say no to a face like that! LOL

A man dies and goes to heaven St. Peter meets him at the Pearly Gates and says, 'Here's how it works.
You need 100 points to make it into heaven. You tell me all the good things you've done, and I give you a certain number of points for each item, depending on how good it was. When you reach 100 points, you get in.'
'Okay,' the man says, 'I was married to the same woman for 50 years and never cheated on her, even in my heart.'
'That's wonderful,' says St.Peter, 'that's worth two points!'
'Two points?' he says. 'Well, I attended church all my life and supported its ministry with my tithe and service.'
'Terrific!' say s St.Peter.. 'That's certainly worth a point.''One point!?!!'
'I started a soup kitchen in my city and worked in a shelter for homeless veterans.'
'Fantastic, that's good for two more points,' he says.'Two points!?!!
'Exasperated, the man cries. 'At this rate the only way I'll get into heaven is by the grace of God.' 'Bingo! 100 points ! Come on in!'

We often try to fix problems with WD-40 and duct tape.God did it with a nail.
